Rutgers Hillel
Where are you now? Living in Ocean County, NJFavorite Rutgers Hillel Memory: Birthright Trip 2009 was my first experience with Rutgers Hillel. While on the trip, I made lifetime friendships. After our return, I became involved with campus events and felt like Hillel made Jewish students feel engaged and welcome.I love Rutgers Hillel because: I had the opportunity to visit Israel and explore things that were outside my comfort zone such as hiking, seeing the sunrise from the top of Masada, and riding a camel! I still keep in touch with the friends I made on that trip and we often reminisce about our experience together. I also recently returned to the new Rutgers Hillel building and learned about the initiatives to provide Jewish students a safe space on campus. I feel this is more important than ever before and to have the opportunity to do so in a beautiful secure building is amazing for students and staff. If Rutgers Hillel was ever a home for you, or if you want to help make it a home for current students, please join us in making a donation today at www.rutgershillel.org/donate ... Where Are You Now: Secaucus, NJFavorite Rutgers Hillel Memory: Some of my favorite Rutgers Hillel memories are from when I served on the Board as the Social Chair. From planning Shabbat dinners and ice cream socials, to open mic night and our 80’s themed Chanukah Ball - those memories are really special to me.I love Rutgers Hillel because: Rutgers Hillel became my home away from home right away and I made lifelong friendships there. It also helped me figure out what career I wanted to pursue after college. Thanks to Rutgers Hillel, I learned the importance of Jewish communal work and I’m so grateful that I get to do such meaningful work for the Jewish community everyday.---If Rutgers Hillel was ever a home for you, or if you want to help make it a home for current students, please join us in making a donation today at www.RutgersHillel.org/donate ...
