The Free Shabbat Dinner program at Rutgers Hillel is our strongest, most attended student program, averaging 300 students each week. The Shabbat experience has a way of connecting Jewish students on campus, offering a sense of community, expression of Jewish values, and an outlet for independent, interactive exploration of Jewish practice across a diverse, vibrant spectrum. Annually, our Shabbat expenses are $150,000. Help support this program and keep it free for all students.

#StandUpAgainstHate is Rutgers Hillel’s special year-long initiative focusing on fighting antisemitism and hatred of all kinds. Each month there are events, educational programming, and/or opportunities to attend conferences focusing on understanding anti-Semitism and fighting hate. This program is co-sponsored by Rutgers Hillel and the Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ. Together we can make a difference!

Rutgers Hillel’s Most Urgent Needs: More Rutgers Jewish students are taking part in Hillel programs than ever before. Hillel not only serves the 6,000 Jewish undergraduate students on Rutgers’ campus, but also offers the richness of Jewish cultural, religious, and intellectual heritage to the entire University community. Help support our continued programming and presence on campus.
